How we serve Network Members:
Challenging top-down approaches to poverty that ignore lived experience, Think Tank works to amplify human stories and empower local change agents. Through poverty simulations, training content and key initiatives guided by leaders with lived experience, Think Tank equips groups to rethink poverty and partner with those affected to create lasting change. Core Services Include: Cost of Poverty Experience: A simulation training that explores the lived experience of poverty firsthand through the eyes of real families. The experiential nature of this training helps groups more deeply understand the human impact of poverty and respond more effectively. Live COPE: 2.5 hours, Virtual COPE: 90 minutes on zoom. Faith-based version of COPE available. Exchange: On-demand training and tools to help teams respond more effectively to poverty following COPE. Access to the Exchange is provided for one year at no additional cost for COPE participants and host sites. Additionally, the Exchange provides tools specifically designed for churches & faith based ministries. Change Leader Alliance (CLA): An alliance of individuals with lived experience in poverty who desire to be change agents in their community. The CLA provides a leadership academy and opportunities for people with lived experience to serve on leadership boards, share their stories and work with organizations towards positive change.

However, so often churches in America struggle to support families impacted by poverty in ways that are relational, holistic, and lasting.
